"I had the opportunity to work with the XX Combinator team very early in Mothercore’s formation. Their input was instrumental and helped me shape key decisions - from our strategy for the year ahead to how we approach fundraising. in the market where mentorship often means a couple of lines of generic advice, Ines and Yvie took their time to really understand the business and the market and tailor their advice to address the gaps.”

”Just read through the report and OMG – this is AMAZING feedback! Seriously, seldomly has anyone provided such good and clear feedback not just by asking the right questions and providing answers but also suggesting great formulations. Thank you!”

We built XX Combinator because building companies in women’s health is hard. Oftentimes, advice that works for startup founders in other sectors may not apply. However, we believe women’s health is a problem big and important enough that needs solving, and we want to help. We encourage founders to lean into their strengths, such as personal experience and insight, strong mission alignment, and solutions designed for real-world adoption rather than one-size-fits-all innovation. Our advice is always tailored to fundraising and problem-solving in this sector, where we all have to work 10x harder with half the amount of resources.
Within our core advisory team, we have a PhD, MD, CFA, exited founder, and venture capital analyst. Learn more here.
-
Founders join XX Combinator at different stages, from early idea to initial traction. If you have a clear problem you want to solve, are committed to building a scalable company, and are open to feedback and iteration, you are likely at the right stage.
-
Some sessions are designed to address highly specific needs such as pitch deck review and financial modeling. Offering these as add ons allows founders to access deeper support when it is most relevant without overloading the core experience.
-
Of course not! You can engage with sessions and resources over time based on your needs and capacity. Many choose to start small and add additional support as their company evolves.
-
Yes. XX Combinator emphasizes long term founder development. Founders often continue to receive guidance through follow-on sessions, community access, and alumni support after completing individual sessions or programs.
-
XX Combinator aims to reduce barriers to access wherever possible. Limited scholarships, sliding scale pricing, and subsidized sessions may be available depending on the program. Founders are encouraged to reach out via email if affordability is a concern.
-
Nope! We are geographically agnostic, although the majority of our network is based in the US and UK.
-
XX Combinator is a consultancy service and we do not directly invest in any of the startups we work with. However, we have strong links with a variety of venture capital firms and angel syndicates globally and can make referrals to them.
